Sometimes I’ll have an engaged couple, some child or baby, or a senior, that is just a muse of a sort– someone that inspires your creativity. I would say Grace falls into this category. She is so at ease and relaxed and was up for whatever. It’s like you could run around all day searching for the light and that magic that comes, but it’s not work– its play. Let’s be honest most of my work feels like play but for some of my subjects, you feel like they really see the art that you are trying to produce. I would say that is true for Grace and her mom. They both have a sense of style that is classic and refined yet not pretentious with a side of youth mixed in. I would like to live in that zone for most all I do. I want photos that never go out of style– they will look good on your mantel or desk next year or in 20.
Grace is going to the University of Dayton next Fall. She is hoping that in 5 years she will be graduated and living in a city with a job and an apartment, and maybe a dog. She chose The Nelson because,” I liked how it has a good mix of green area with a more natural feel, but it also has some really pretty architecture mixed in as well. I have always lived in the city so I would say I’m a pretty urban person, but I do love country music and a cute pair of cowboy boots! My favorite thing to do at home is probably laying in my bed. I am very passionate about my Brooklinen sheets and silk pillowcase.” –Yes, she radiates style and grace, fitting heh?
**I forgot to mention, she can play a mean game of basketball, don’t let her petite stature fool you. But this is another thing I admire– You can be completely “girly” and into fashion and then go out and channel your inner competitiveness and be a brute (this is not a negative-it is a positive!) I love the multi-faceted.
And her cute mama and sis and of course, Coconut. These apples don’t fall far from the stylish tree. (heart emoji)
