Happy New Year! This post is a long time coming… My beautiful niece married her love this Fall and talk about fun. It was simple and intimate but yet soul-filling and like light through the clouds (sounds cheesy but totally true). I’ve been on a slight social media sabbatical with the hustle and bustle of the holidays, its good to clear the mind of some things. I guess there is always a little bit of pressure when you have taken some time off. It is the way I feel about this New Year, everyone is talking about how bad 2020 was I feel like it is putting a lot of pressure for this year to be fabulous. When in truth there were so many good things to come of last year and I’m sure we are going to see our fair share of trials moving forward. I feel like this is where yoga would come in or a good piece of cake. Savor all the good moments, they are fleeting. Just as the bad moments are too—so soak up that light through the clouds until our next sunny day. This is what I’ve come to realize starting this 21st year of the 21st century. There is no time for guilt or too high expectations….there is work to be done, and life to enjoy.
Kirsten and Drew paired down their guest list according to the Church and venue regulations but it did not dampen the sweetness of their ceremony or the fun of their reception. Remember what I mentioned in my last blog…..you will always remember your covid wedding and maybe more than if everyone and their brother could attend–your social interactions would have been many and more watered down. So here is to 2021 and Kirsten and Drew, there will undoubtedly be storms but with your partner in hand they will be easier to weather. (so sorry for length and images, I’m trying a new blog optimization tool and also I have the cutest family so sorry not sorry)
