So I could tell you about Kristin who is the life of a party-she is fun, and hilarious and vibrant….I’ve known her through her talented sister Sara who has helped me as a second shooter and her brother my classmate, friend. But this is about the two of them Kristin AND Jimmy. Jimmy adores Kristin and had a list of reasons why in his vows. I was touched by her friend who presided over the ceremony and talked about how Kristin found her prince charming- and how their love progressed and joked about not getting them talking about politics as they don’t always see eye to eye. It got me to thinking a lot about us as a society’s ability to disagree, what happened to that? I’m not just talking about politically but I feel like we are all so charged that we can’t say we disagree but still like each other–or even love each other. I don’t think we all want to think exactly alike and while it is good to believe in your opinions it is also good to realize they are not everyone’s. How do you think we have progressed as a country without some big-time disagreements. But to love someone even when you disagree that can be hard but also very true. And on this Valentine’s Day month I want to take a page out of Kristin and Jimmy’s love story and laugh more easily and love even when it’s not easy.
They had a little Fall wedding in their friend’s backyard where their close friends and family gathered to celebrate the joining of two minds. Happy Late Valentines Day all you people–lots of love all year long.
