You know who you are–I don’t need to tell you. You are one mean loving mother——-. You are homeschooling and working from home (or out of home), you are making food and checking on screen time, you are balancing lots of spinning hats and trying to be present too. I see you, to you and my own mean lovin mother–this day is yours. Enjoy and celebrate those kiddos. (hopefully, you get to have some wine and a private hour or two and be careful of any undercooked meat dishes your 7 year old might cook ) Much love.
My mother, who watched approx. 1.2 million basketball games when she was not particularly into basketball, made us the best cinnamon rolls on PLANET EARTH, took us all over the gosh darn midwest on vacations including some hole in the wall towns that you wouldn’t consider touristy, could refinish anything and painted every room in 4 and counting homes over and over (that’s why her shoulders are shot), she watches her grandkids all the time and still makes the best food–I’m not even going to try and get there so sorry Will and Stella. We love you and are the people we are today because of you.
And to the mothers we’ve lost. We miss you more then a photo and blog could ever put into words.
